13 August 2014 There are 3 schools want to apply for TAN
(all three schools run by one Education Trust)
Trust have PAN but schools don't have PAN bcoz it's run by the Trust

School people wants TAN in name of School,

can they apply for TAN in name of school without PAN ?

If yes, is their any issue will creating at the time of TDS return filling without PAN ?

13 August 2014 you have to apply TAN with name of TRust due to return will file by the trust not by the individual trust. you can apply diff-2 tan for each school or apply on TAN for all school.

13 August 2014 But School people want TAN in name of School only.... some schools already got TAN... i don;t knw how ?

13 August 2014 this is not possible due to your school come under the trust and your school are not have any identity separately under the income tax act. your can fill the information of school as branch of the trust. then you get diff-2 tan for each school . as earlier I said the same thing.
