18 February 2011 HELLO MEMBER EXPERTS,
CAN YOU CLEAR MY DOUBT REGARDING TDS ON TRANSPORTER. I HAVE A DOUBT ON TDS TO TRANSPORTER AS FOLLOWS:-
1. AS WE ALL KNOW THAT IF THE PAN IS NOT QUOTED THAN TDS RATE IS 20%. DOES WE HAVE TO DEDUCT THE TDS IF TOTAL AMT. OF FREIGHT BILLS ARE LESS THAN 50000 RUPEES ALSO THE TRANSPORTER HAVE NO PAN
2. IF THERE IS A SINGLE TRANSACTION OF A TRANSPORT BILL OF 25000 RUPEES.WITHOUT PAN WILL IT ATTRACT THE TDS PROVISIONS?
