Surrender of service tax number

06 June 2012 we have submitted service tax return up to 31st march 2012 and now i.e. on 6/06/2012 we want to surrender the service tax number/registration certificate please clear the point that whether we have to submit service tax return from 01/04/2012 to 06/06/2012 online or physical before submitting surrender application .

06 June 2012 If you have not rendered any service for the period april to june and there stands no liability and no credit has been availed. Then a simple letter along with a declaration stating the above and intention to surrender the RC

06 June 2012 No return shall be required to be filed if nil returns stands as of date you can seek remission from filing nil return
