Why cloing stock is not appearing in Trial Balance and why Opening Stock is appearing in Trial Balance

01. The goods account in due course is split into opening stock, purchases, sales and closing stock.
02. There is always a subtle, though, difference between physical stock and the stock as per books. The closing stock is, thus, deliberately kept outside the scope of trial balance so as to take care of this difference between actual stock and stock as per books.
