1. Can the statutory meeting be held on Sunday? The Companies Act, 2013, does not explicitly prohibit holding a statutory meeting on a Sunday. However, generally, companies avoid Sundays or public holidays to ensure maximum attendance and compliance with local laws. It is advisable to check local laws and any regulatory notifications or specific Articles of Association of the company. As a good practice, hold the meeting on a working day to avoid any complications. 2. Procedure for refund reissue if the return was filed manually: You need to write an application addressed to the concerned Income Tax Officer (Assessing Officer or the refund processing officer). The application should mention: Acknowledgment number of the return Assessment Year (AY) Details of refund claimed (amount, challan details, etc.) Reason for refund reissue (e.g., cheque lost, wrong address, etc.) Submit the application either in person or by post. The IT department will verify and process the refund reissue accordingly.
