13 June 2011 can a stattutary auditor receive any other fees from the auditee for services rendered?
is there any limit for such debt?

13 June 2011 Yes, like if Statutory Auditor done Tax Audit then he can also receive its fees for Tax Audit.

There is no llimit as such.

does this effect his independence as an auditor?
is there a limit if he can receive such fees?

it is prohibited by CA act.
