i want to ask whether stamp duty is paid on formation of the Limited Liabilty Partnership & if yes how it is payable ?

05 March 2013 Stamp duty is payable on LLP Agreement as per the stamp Act of the state in which it was to be executed.

06 March 2013 It seems that so far Rajasthan Stamp Act has not been amended so as to include stamp duty on LLP Agreement specifically, but till then we have to go by the stamp duty prescribed under this Act on partnership.
The act provides for a stamp duty of Rs. 500/- on an instrument of partnership, see stamp duty is levied on instrument. So, going by this you will have to execute your LLP Agreement on a stamp paper of Rs. 500/-
