06 April 2012 Hi all,

my client manufactures ice cream in his own name and he makes 10L tornover.

can he avail SSI exemption ?

Is there any way of getting certificate from dept saying that this client is exempted for the particular year ?

06 April 2012 Yes he is eligible for SSI registration. As regards exemption under which act you want. If it is Income Tax Act then you have to check whether Ice Cream falls under Schedule 16 if yes then No if No then Yes.
For exemption no certificate is needed the only certificate neede is SSI registration certificate with Director of Industries of your area and you can claim State Subsidy
