18 September 2011 For resident woman (who is below 65 years of age at any time during the previous year):

Upto Rs 190000/- Nil
190001/- to 500000/- 10%
500001/- to 800000/- 20%
Above 800000/- 30%

For resident senior citizen (who is 65 years or more of age at any time during the previous year:

Upto Rs 240000/- Nil
240001/- to 500000/- 10%
500001/- to 800000/- 20%
Above 800000/- 30%

For any other individual, every HUF/AOP/BOI/artificial judicial person-

Upto Rs 160000/- Nil
160001/- to 500000/- 10%
500001/- to 800000/- 20%
Above 800000/- 30%

Note: Surcharges Nil and Cess 3 % of Tax Amount in all cases.
