Signing of Tax audit report

06 October 2009 A person holding certificate of practice and also practice as a chartered accountant in a firm and working elsewhere fulltime employment, whether that person is eligible for signing a Tax Audit Report, kindly clarify my doubt.

06 October 2009 No, this person in question is holding the CP and practicing as a CA and also in wholetime employment can't do any auditing work.You may read earlier discussion on this.

06 October 2009 It is not possible for member of ICAI to hold COP as well engaged him/herself in fulltime employment. However, no doubt if he/she is holding COP as per ICAI record then there is no problem in signing.

Further, if some one engaged in full time employment even in CA firm then also he/she will not have attestation/signing power.
