one of my client is doing shamiyana or pendal rental service his gross receipts for the year is less than rs.10.00 lakhs and net income above rs.1.20 lakhs whether he should maintain books of accounts under sec 44AA or not

Those who are offering income under section 44AD need not to maintain any type of books. Your case is for section 44AD if you want to maintain you can maintain the books cash book,ledger accounts, others if any want to you.
