SERVICE TAX SET-OFF ON TRANSPORTER

I am working in reputed company & handling tax matter. I would like to know about service tax query.

We have rate contract with one reputed register transporter & they charge service tax on bill. So, please let me know we can take set-off of service tax of transporter.

19 February 2011 GTA service is taxable under reverse mechanism. ie. the consignor or consignee whoever pays the freight is liable to pay tax and not the transporter. Cenvat credit is admissible if it is inward transportation while cenvat on outward tranportation is under litigation.
