31 January 2012 Hello,

i filled service tax return online & take print out now its nessary send to hard copy to service tax dept. after seal & signature ?

31 January 2012 No not necessary. just file on line and check the status after 1 day, it should be status "filed". that is enough.

31 January 2012 As per Annexure of Circular No. 956/17/2011-CX Dated, the 28th September,2011

The ACES application is designed to accept digitally signed documents. However, in the beginning this functionality is not going to be activated. Pending its activation the electronic returns will be filed into ACES without digital signatures. Hence, wherever the returns are submitted through ACES there will not be any requirement to submit signed hard copy separately.
Thus it is crystal clear that you need not to submit any physical copy of return, however, you are required to ensure that your return is accepted by the ACES system online.
