19 April 2011 I want to know procedure for service tax registration for a prop. labour supply agency. How to apply? Required documents etc.

20 April 2011 Pl go to CBEC website and download form ST1. submit to your jurisdictional service tax department with address proof, copy of PAN card and constitution status, all self-attested. You can also register and apply in website, www.aces.gov.in and later submit all the hard copies. Best of luck.

20 April 2011 The first step is to register yourself with the CBEC ACES as a new user and get your password. Subsequently you have to file the ST-1 electronically and print the receipt of submission. You also have to procure a copy of the ST-1 form submitted and submit to your jurisdictional service tax department with address proof, copy of PAN card and constitution status, all self-attested. The department will then issue the RC i.e. ST-2 and only after that can you deposit the service tax collected to the Treasury and file the returns.
