Sitting fee paid to Executive Director of the Company is chargeable to service tax and service tax is payable by the Company paying the sitting fee as per notification 30/2012 as amended by notification 45/2012 dated 7/8/2012

In case of Sitting Fees paid to Director wef 7/8/2012 Service Receiver ie the Company will have to pay Service Tax @12.36% on behalf of the director to the department.
Please note that from 1st July to 7 th August the Director will have to pay his Service tax if its above 10 Lakhs and after 7th the company would be paying
