11 March 2009 i am working for a private limited company they are paying rent of Rs. 275,000.00 per month whether they have to pay service tax on the above mention rent. please guide me.

11 March 2009 Renting of immovable properties attracts the provisions of service tax vide section 65(105)(zzzz) of the Finance Act,1994. Accordingly the landlord has to pay service tax either from his on pocket or from collecting it from the tenant.
