Please clarify about the applicablity of service tax on a flat that has been booked in kolkata at a building consisting of 32 flats and separate garages.
If yes, what is the rate of tax on a flat and on garage.

26 September 2012 The agreement as well as choice of builder would be important.
If building complete then NIL.
If under construction service then 25% of the amount recived
If under worsk contract then on the construction part of the value 12.36x 40%.
