21 September 2013 whethjer service tax will be charge on bill including tds amount if yes so why ? what is the reoson ?

example :


bil amount is rs.2200000 including tds of rs. 200000

so on what amount service tax wil be charge

21 September 2013 Leviability of service tax does not commensurate with the levy of tds. If service is provided and exceeds the limit of Rs.10 lakhs in the previous year then service tax is to be levied otherwise not.
If the above bill is for providing service then service tax is to be levied.

asume it that his turnover exceeds 10lkh in previous year
whether service tax is chargeable on 22lkh or 20lkh
