THEN SERVICE TAXIS PAYBLT TO GOVERMENT BY SERVICE RECEIVER,

BUT IF TRANSPORTER WANT TO PAY SERVICE TAX THEN IS THEIR ANY PROVISION.

OT THEIR IS COMPULSORY TO PAID ST ONLY BY SERVICE RECEIVER.
AND SERVICE RECEIVER HAV NO ANY SERVICE TAX NUMBER.

17 August 2010 BUT THEIR IS ONE RULE OF THAT SOME 5-6 SERVICES ARE THERE, ON WHICH ONLY SERVICE RECEIVER HAS TO PAY SERVICE TAX TO GOVT.

IN THAT TRANSPORTATION IS ONE.

22 August 2010 There is no restriction to pay the service tax by the service provider itself on GTA, if you are paying the service tax you can collect and pay give the proof of payment to the service reciver for their proof of document, when the department raise the issue they can show your payment proof
