Dear Experts,
In the process of amending ST2 I am getting "YOUR REQUEST CANNOT BE PROCESSED. PLEASE CONTACT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR". What does this mean? How to proceed further?

This is a common technical error encountered when filing Service Tax Amendment (ST-2) on the ACES (Automation of Central Excise and Service Tax) portal — especially before the transition to GST.

🔹 3. Attempting amendment during restricted hours
ACES used to undergo maintenance during non-working hours or filing rush periods.
✅ Steps to Resolve:
Try again in a different browser
Use Internet Explorer 11 or Firefox (older versions) — those worked best with ACES.
Clear browser cache and cookies, and log in again.
Ensure your digital signature (if applicable) is properly installed and active.
Try accessing during non-peak hours (e.g., early morning).
If the problem persists, do the following:

Email: aces.servicedesk@icegate.gov.in
Include:
Your Service Tax Registration No.
Screen error message (screenshot if possible)
Steps you followed before the error occurred
Alternatively, visit your Jurisdictional Service Tax Department and request offline help or assistance.
