If a Govt. Employee retires on 27/01/2014 than will he be treated as Senior Citizen for Calculation of Income Tax for the F.Y. 2013-14 ?

for senior citizen u need to check whether in FY 2013-14 at any time in this period the ind have attended the age of 60 years or not.

Retirement is not the criteria for any type of employee. If he has completed his 60 years of age , he will be treated as Senior Citizen under the income tax act.
