i had purchased stationery on 29/3/2015 but payment was not made till 31/3/2015 can i avail it's deduction FY 2014-15 or not...

please confirm...

actually the stationery was purchased on 29/3/2015, or payment for the same was made on 5/4/2015. in which FY can we avail it's deduction whether in FY 2014-15 or 2015-16

12 May 2015 Payment is not the only criteria to claim the expense.
.
Stationery is being regularly used for the business and if your purchases are of routine in nature you can avail deduction in FY 2014-15.
.
However, if the stationery has been purchased for the purpose of FY 2015-16, you have to claim the expenses in FY 2015-16.
