Section 225 of Companies act provides that retiring auditor has a right to make representation at AGM. What is the importance / effect or significance of this right?

The rights given to the retiring auditor,which follows the natural justice and to ensure that shareholders get all the relevant information before deciding upon the resolution that the retiring auditor's shall not be reaoopinted.
