Sec 269st

This query is : Resolved

02 April 2017 If one person sell and receive more than 200000 from different customers in a single day, whether sec.269 ST attracted on him

02 April 2017 269ST is applicable when a person receive an amount of Rs. 2 Lakhs or more in aggregate from a person in a day
otherwise than by account payee cheque or account payee bank draft or use of electronic clearing system through a
bank account.

If one person sell and receive more than 200000 from different customers in a single day, whether sec.269 ST attracted on him?

The limit of Rs. 2 lakhs or more should be aggregate from one person in a day and not aggregate from different persons.

03 April 2017 If a total sum of Rs. 2 Lakhs or more is received from say four different persons and none of the receipt is more than or equal to Rs 2 Lakhs then this section would not be attracted as payment is not received from a single person in a day. Here even the aggregate will be out of question as payment is not received from one person.
