The market for accounting talent is stronger than at any time in the past decade, with especially high levels of demand for internal audit, taxation, external financial reporting, financial analysis and staff accounting.
In general terms there is an increasing demand for staff and senior accountants with from two to seven years experience. The forecast increase in salaries across the profession is a minimum of 3.1 percent, with accountants in some specialized areas attracting increases of up to 40 percent when they change employers.
According to one report, the only weakness on the employment horizon will be in mid-level management
