28 November 2012 If an agricultural land was purchased in 2008 for Rs. 500000/- .in 2012 the land is sold for Rs. 100000/- as residential land.
Will the profit is taxable as capital gain or not.

28 November 2012 The nature of the land is to be seen on the date of transfer. If on the date of transfer the land is a residential land, then the gains arising from capital gain are taxable as Capital Gains.
