I m a private medical professional. My wife also a doctor and retired few months back from govt job. Can I pay her salary from my clinic as an employee or for her services? Kindly advise me from IT point of view.

08 February 2021 No harm in paying but

(1) wife must definitely possess professional qualification and that such professional qualifications must relate to the post which is occupied by the wife and
(2) salary paid to wife must be attributable to the application of her professional knowledge.
