i want to know that an advocate can appear before the assessment authority, Commissioner (Appeals) and Custom, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal.

Yes Kumar an Advocate can handle all those u asked above. A letter authorising the lawyer is need to b presented before the officers.
