while filing DIN in forms 20B,23AC and 23ACA, Iam getting a message that INVALID DIN OR PAN. What could be the reason ?

First check the approval status of DIN number from the ROC site.
Also check/reconfirm the din number from approval letter.

and one more thing check whether have you registered the DIN at mca via role check of DIN.

Roll checking is for DSC and not for DIN. As Ankurji rightly said approval of DIN may be verified. If the director is appointed before 01/07/2007 comply the requirement of DIN-2 and DIN-3 also.
