Revision of IT Return after due date

15 January 2010 One of my colleague has by mistakenly e-filed return of income tax for A.Y. 2009-10 after due date which was actually pertaining to A.Y.2008-09. And all the data were relating to A.Y. 2008-09. Neither Return for the A.Y.2009-10 can be revised nor return of A.Y. 2008-09 can be filed.

16 January 2010 if u hv e-filed without using digital signature and u hv not yet send the Form ITR-V to Bangalore then pls dont send the Form ITR-V to Bangalore and wait till 30 days from the date of e-filing the return, after lapse of said 30 days re-file the ITR for AY 09-10 after correcting it. I am suggesting this because if the Form ITR-V is not send to Bangalore office within 30 days as reqd then as per Income Tax Act, it is assumed that the relevant return has not been filed
