Revenue Stamp on rent receipt

I am making cash payment of Rs 4000 as rent then receipt of rent should contain revenue stamp of Rs. 1 with signature on revenue stamp.
Also tell me the Act where I can find the related provision.

The Indian Stamp Act as adopted and implemented by the respective State Govts.

There is no need of affixing revenue stamp on payment of less then Rs. 5000.00 on a singal voucher.
