Hi i want to know about late filling charges of ITR-1 for F.y. 2012-2013. If i file Return now.

Well penalty for delay is not mandatory but also not linked with the tax amount..

If my income is less than 5 lakh for f.y. 2012-2013, it is mandatory to file return.

you are required to file tax return if it exceeds maximum exempted limit.

maximum exempted limit means slab rate for assessees.
