19 August 2013 Hi One of my client had filed return for AY 2011-12 and had a refund of Rs 13000... But he dint get it..I gave a call to CPC Bangalore and they said ITR-V not received because of which the return was not processed. Further CPC said that he needs file a manual return now.
He is working in Bangalore, but the pan card was issued in Mumbai, he has not changed the details of PAN card. Could you please let me know

1.What steps I need to follow?
2.How do I proceed further about filing manual return

Further there is a short fall in his tax paid in the current AY…due to change in employment…How do I proceed about case

Please help and explain

19 August 2013 If return was filed on or before 31.7.2012 then check whether ITR-V was sent to CPC Banglore or not.

u shoulg file manual return but the last date for filling belated return for AY11-12 was 31.3.2013.
If cpc did not receive your ITR-V within 120 days of filling return then as if no proper and adequate return was filed as per income tax act.
Meet your jurisdictional AO and send a request to CBDT for claiming refund u/s 119 (2)b.
