05 August 2012 It is advisable to file the return on line. Do not go for maual filing...OK..

The due date for 'Original' IT Return of ReturnFileSec 11 for Assessment Year 2010 is only till 31-03-2012. Please contact DIT Administrator for further details

05 August 2012 When you are having Nil taxable income and even by paying penalty , you want to file a return of income, do you think that you will be relieved by doing so???

This exercise will create suspense in the cool minds of the IT authorities.

However, if you can afford some more, than just 5000/-, you can file your return by requesting the ITO to issue you a notice U/s 148. He will surely oblige you.
