Resignation of additional director

In a private company additional director was appointed in 2008. The Company did not file the form for change in designation from AD to director.
Now, the Additional director wants to resign from the company.
In this case first we have to file form 32 for change in designation from AD to Director or we can directly file form 32 for resignation.
Please reply as early as possible.

ii) So issue of filing form 32 in the year 2013 ,for regularizing/resignation, is not possible.
