02 December 2011 Dear Sir / Madam,

At the time of E-return of 26Q,in 2010, i credited Rs 40000 TDS to Mr.Ram instead of Mr.Krishna. So now suggest me how to rectify this mistake, because i forgot my TAN A/c password and secrete answer to question?

02 December 2011 Dear Gopal,

You can re-register your TAN account, for the same TAN, NSDL made a provision for re-registering TAN, with out submitting of any papers by clicking online TAN reg, click register button, enter your TAN it will ask you if it is registered, asks you whether to re-register yes/no, then fill the other details as per the registration form, then you can rectify that particular quarter return.
