i am a school teacher. i have received a notice from income tax department to submit the income tax for accessment year 2010-2011 then i have checked our form 16 and i found that my employer have made a mistek that he (clerk) have mentioned that wrong PAN no and he have also deposited my ITR correspondly there is a same mistake in ITR. now please tell me what should be the action / reply against the notice.

ask him to revise the TDS return by filing the correct pan number,
you have to file fresh return, with a copy of old return acknowledgement , you need to address a letter to ITO for the mistake done and request to accept return.
