29 May 2019 I am renting my residential property to a person running P.G for a monthly rent of RS.500000/. My question is should I charge GST .I am registered under GST for my business.kindly give your valuable reply.thanks in advance.

29 May 2019 Running PG is a business hence GST applicable on rent, charge GST.

Thank you a lot for your valuable advise. But is there any section or chapter in gst law to show that renting of building comes under gst net if the tenant runs p.g. please share your valuable replay

30 May 2019 What is the taxable event under GST?
Supply of goods and/or services. CGST & SGST will be levied on intra-state supplies while IGST will be levied on inter-state supplies. The charging section is section 7 (1) of CGST/SGST Act and Section 4(1) of the IGST Act.
Running a PG is a business so renting premises to PG covered under GST

According to the GST Act, renting out of an immovable property would be treated as a supply of services. GST, however, will be applicable only to certain types of rent such as: ...
