22 January 2009 Company A owns a residential property which it lets out to Company B.Company B uses it as a guest house.Is service tax attracted here.Kindly give the reason for the answer u r givin.

22 January 2009 Immovable property used in furtherence of business or commerce is liable to ST under renting of IP.
IP has been defiend to exclude accomodations of all sorts. If the guest house is for accomodation then there maybe no liability.
