dear all,
if,
i have a only one house in pune and taken housing loan on it. and given it on rent.
i stay in mumbai for my office job where i occupied a rented property, but i m not getting HRA in my salary. so i m paying rent from my pocket.
my question is,
can i deduct my rent paid as expenses from my rental income and the balance income can be treated as taxable income from house property ???

no as that is not allowed and u need to compute income from house property
