RENEWAL OF EXEMPTION U/S80-G FOR ATRUST

23 September 2010 I have applied for renewal of exemption of my new client of trust in may 2010 as the documents for exemption had been expired in 2008.

While approaching to the client and verified all the records it was found that renewal of trust were already mae from 2008 to 2011. Since w.e.f 1.10.2009 all the trust whose exemptions are expiring on or after 1.10.2009 need not to apply for renewal unless cancelled by the DIT.

Please advice whether application should be filed for withdrawal or should be keep silent, please refer sections also.

23 September 2010 There is no notification. It may be the effect of omitting the proviso to clause (vi) of sub secton (5) of 80G w.e.f 01/10/2009.
