Can a Director be removed in EGM.

Yes
As per section 284 by passing an ordinary resolution of shareholders in the AGM or EGM you can remove a director from office.
After removal file form 32 with ROC within 30 days of EGM.
Full compliance of section 284 procedure is required for removal. Also check the provisions of your article for removal.
