Has Company Secretary course lost its relevance.

i.e. there is no statutory requirement of Company Secretary in Pvt Sector

On the basis of skills, they can reach anywhere as like MBA's.

does that mean CS and MBA are equal.

15 April 2014 with advent of new companies act, CS have only gained relevance...MBA cannot be equated with CS in any case.

15 April 2014 then company secretaries are resorting to hunger strikes, sending representations etc begging for more statutory regulations which make the career of company secretary viable

15 April 2014 well in every sector a section always resort to hunger strikes and protests while the others diligently work to chart out a career for themselves.

15 April 2014 Will according to my opinion no one should take admission in CS Course and

only one professional course is left for commerce students i.e. CA

and that is run by persons who just to keep their interest intact, do not let more persons to come into profession by declaring 3% result
i hv seen person failing by scoring 49 and 50 is passing marks. old parents are watching result of their son so they could marry him

that is beyong any comprehension

15 April 2014 well very pessimistic of you. but well you are entitled for an opinion, howsoever misplaced it might be. ICAI is not liable for anyone's failures. one doesn't pass you blame ICAI, one doesn't job, you blame ICAI. one doesn't find a good opportunity in CS, you blame everyone. I believe, the blame lies with the person to a larger extent. If someone is not fit enough to deal with external factors, then be it so.

ICAI is interested in filtering out the trash and retaining the cream with a increased salary base. It is in no way required to increase result to 30%, as it had done in past, which results in unemployment and abysmal salaries. The same is done at all the premier institutions including IIMs, IITs etc etc.

THEN WHAT ABOUT 49 FAIL AND 50 PASS

WHAT KIND OF FILTERING IS BEING DONE
50 IS CREAM
AND 49 IS TRASH

THAT IS real ICAI
