28 April 2014 Open demat Account with any of the DP(e.g. icicidirect, reliancemoney, sharekhan etc).
transfer fund into demat account and start trading in the stock you want.....:)

28 April 2014 you need a demat as well as a broking account. normally any broker today shall open both you. icicidirect, axis, sbi etc also offer option of opening what is called 3-in-1 account - demat-broking-banking.
