registration No for second properitorship

20 January 2011 One of my client has a propritorship business (ABC ENTERPRISES)with valid servicetax No. Now he has started another properitorship(XYZ Communications) with diffrent name and want a separate ST2 in the name of new properitorship as well.
Plse guide me.

20 January 2011 No, sole prop. business is registered only once, if service provider starts providing new service then he has to apply for amendment in registration certificate. A prop. business doesn't have seperate identity from its owner, PAN is already registered under ST.
