23 September 2010 i applied for s.tax registration online bt by mistake i selected wrong commissionerate division. bt i realised the same when i go to dept for filing documents physically bt then officer advised me to apply once again by selecting correct division code. i did the same and choose another log in id. then i take printout of online application filed and go to dept. they accept d application and gave back copy of dt printed application affixing their seal on it. then assuming that we have been allotted service tax no. as there were no communication from department we deposited our service tax on the same number. bt whn today for verification i entered the service tax no. on simpletaxindia.org 's site it shows dt no records available for this no. actually service tax no. allotted while online application is aaffh6357qsd002. bt no records available for this no. then i randomly tried aaffh6357qst001 and surprising that no is active on our name. advise me what to do now? we have not so far got the servicetax registration certificate from department. on what no. next quarters' tax should be deposited?
also tell me how to sign in on aces site because the id which we created is now no longer exist and when i tries to sign in by using that id msg appears that the registration is either rejected or surrendered.

24 September 2010 It will better advised to meet first to service tax authority.

secondly , you deposit the tax on service tax no duly acknowledged by the Deptt.

I you are depositing the tax well in time , U will not have to face any penalty.
