ONE OF MY FRIEND IS DOING BUSINESS OF AUTO SPARE-PARTS TRADING AND HIS TURNOVER IS ABOUT 1500000, SO DOES GST REGISTRATION APPLICABLE IN THIS CASE.
AS HIS SUPPLIER IS ASKING FOR GST NO BEFORE SUPPLYING GOODS.

No need of GST No. as turnover is below Rs.20,00,000.

No need registration for above said query...
Also the supplier asking is very good. Bcoz, In case your friend had GST number and the supplier can't show the GSTIN in his invoice then your friend can't get ITC...
So, the supplier ll confirm the situation...

Thanks CA Rashmi Gandhi g and Raja g...............but in actual market very few suppliers are supplying goods to unregistered (GST) business man,so unfortunately even small businessman has to take registration as they have to run business.

Agree with you Nitesh but there is no restriction to supply to unregistered person
Any person can supply to unregistered so you dont required to get register.
Say no for purchasing goods from such dealer..
