Regarding house keeping bill service tax

30 December 2015 Hello All,

In our housing society we have appointed House Keeping service vendor, around 180000/- Per month we are going pay from next month [Without Service TAX].
As per LAW we need to pay service tax as well, can anyone help me on how much service tax we need to give on above amount and what document we required from vendor.

30 December 2015 No service tax payable if Maintenance charge per month for each house not exceeding Rs. 5000.

30 December 2015 We are collecting society monthly maintenance amount 1800/- per flat and we have around 1000 Flats in our society.

Just an example security agency monthly bill 320000/- including service tax [14.5%] 46,400 /- total is 366400/-

you are saying no need to pay tax if monthly monthly maintenance amount per flat is >5000 right Sir?
this case we are collecting per flat 1800/- per month.

in this what to do Sir?

30 December 2015 Yes you are right, there is no need to collect service tax from members. If any agency charges service tax in their bill it has to be paid by the society. Security agency bill has to be paid with service tax.
