Is it mandatory to file online application for registration under service tax or the physical application along with reqd documents will suffice the purpose?
Also provide the fees amt. for registration.

18 March 2012 Online is mandatory. After electonic transmission of data, print out of ST-1 along with required documents has to be filed necessaily within 15 days therefrom in the jurisdictional ST office.

19 March 2012 online application is necessary. fill the form in ST-1 and submit hard copy with all other documents to deptt. they will confirm after that, you can download your registration no via site.
