There is provision in Income Tax for Refund of Excess TDS Deducted. For this purpose one has to Apply in Form 26B. Income Tax Rules say that Application should be made by ON Line Process. How such Application can be made? If there is no provision for making ON LINE Application then how Application is to be made? Please Guide in details.

Thanks for prompt Reply. But we will have to file Refund Application in Form 26B and there is no where provision for ON LINE APPLICATION (Form 26B) on any site e.g. tdscpc.gov.in or tin-ndsl.com for the same. In the circumstances how & where to Apply for Excess TDS Refund?

Application at all is not required still it is prudent to safeguard the interest of the client and in present circumstances jurisdictional AO (TDS) may be contacted for accepting the application/ form. .
